tis the season.

what a great christmas season. everyone being to generous and kind. i went up to cedar today to talk to my school counselor for the nursing program and then i went job hunting. after placing 16 resumes i went to emerald point assisted living...and i got an interview. i started crying of course and hugged the lady that told me. then on my way home i got the call...i am hired! finally after a full semester of searching and stressing i have a job!

--the family went on a little hike down at the lytle ranch the day after thanksgiving. it was super fun. the hike was more like a little walk down a path, but we all still had a ton of fun. on the way back we all sang christmas songs at the top of our lungs..beauty.

a while back i went on a blind date to the institute fall ball. it was totes fun! i just love dancing you see, and i go a little crazy. i probably scared people, but i don't care!

last night john allred came to perform at SUU. of course i went. tried to find someone to go with me, but no one would. so i went by myself. it was awesome!

my thoughts on web 2.0

web 2.0 is a place where opinionated people can write their feelings and anyone can see it. its a forum and message board. its a change in the way that companies and people interact with each other. it is no longer about presentation, its more about the context within. people want to write. less about the "corporate message" and more about "my message".

web 2.0 affects our society by the way we interact with each other. instead of actually calling the person to see how they are doing, or what they are up to you can check their blog and instantly know all of that information. there is no real interaction except for the commenting part. that is the part where people who look at your blog can comment on the content.

i like having a blog because it keeps me semi involved in other peoples lives. i am also able to post things about myself that i feel may be exciting or what not.

^yesterday after returning from running at the indoor suu track i got home and noticed i had a missed call. so i listened to the voicemail--and lo and behold--{DAVID ARCHULETA CALLED ME!} i immediately started freaking out! i couldn't even believe one bit of it. but it truely did happen to me.

the reason for the call is....my roommate susie peterson, her boyfriend is good friends with david. susie and her family moved to murray a few years ago and she went to murray high. anyways a few weeks ago when susie was texting her boyfriend he told her that at that very moment he was hanging with david. so of course she told me this wonderful news. so i then told her to tell him that i love david. haha. so she did. and then she gave her boyfriend my number to have david call me. i didn't think anything of that moment since, until i got the voicemail.

what is funny is susie's boyfriend thought that i was celebrating my birthday the last time he was here, which i wasn't cause my birthday is in january. so that made me laugh.

over due.

a temple baptisms for the dead trip was long over due for me. luckily my ward decided to have a little outing trip to stg for a night baptism. it was fabulous! the ride was enjoyable. mostly because i rode with some wonderful girls who didn't mind that i sang to every single song that happened to come on:) upon arriving to stg we ate a little (it was pretty big) at iceburg. then we headed over to the temple. ma met me there to give me some medication{the reason being is because i found out that i am anemic. ya isn't that just uber exciting?} anyways. we then all headed into the temple. we had so many people there that i didn't end up leaving the chapel until about nine. we started at eight. so by the time i got home it was really late. but it definitly was worth it. plus i got to see my ma.

little did i know.

that by coming back to SUU for this year i would meet my long lost TWIN! the thing is my parents never even let on that i had a twin. so sad. i met my twin at a bonfire closer towards the beginning of the school year...while at the bonfire people kept talking to me who i had no idea who they were yet they said that they had met me that night. i was a bit confused until i finally met her. yes i see a little similarity, but seriously get us mixed up? hmmm. maybe. so i finally got a picture with her last night at my roommates birthday party. her name is candace. she actually lives in the apartment right next to me, so pretty much we are twins.....let me know what you think about my twinness!

this past tuesday i realized that in order to stay on track with my school i would need to take physiology this semester. i had planned on taking it with pathophysiology next semester, but i found out that it is not allowed. so i quickly got into the class... sadly though they were having their first test on friday, so that is this past friday. luckily the professor is letting me take the test tomorrow morning. but i had to learn all of the material practically by myself. i am a bit nervous for what the test is going to be like.

mike & brett come to visit.

mike & brett came up from stg to visit me...and to scope out the upcoming sweet spots for some snow jibbin. we attended a dessert party, that was tasty and pretty fun. my new found friend kelcey ovard, from my human anatomy class and lab invited me to. it was so much fun! i enjoyed it. we played games also, that i pretty much dominated at!

i am not going to really make any comments further cause they might get offended as some people have in the past. yes, i have learned my lesson from blogging about my dates. why? well the kid that i blogged about i think read it and hasn't called me or talked to me since. hmm, weird.

anywho we had a blast talking, and getting our chesmay on (def not the correct spelling, its a spanish word, but that is pretty much how you say it).

Farewell Ice Cream Social.

my good friend megan anne ludlow christensen threw me a farewell ice cream social at her house just last night. it was so much fun! we played some grueling games of badmitton, which i lost at, i am not too good at badmitton. we had yummy ice cream cones, with plenty of ice cream choices.

lets just say this was the BEST farewell ice cream social that i have ever had the pleasure of attending, let alone it was for me? how thoughtful was it that she actually threw it for me, when i will only be leaving to go to school in cedar city (45 minutes away). i had a blast!

there is something about cloudy days that just make me so happy...love the clouds, and the slightly cooler weather of saint george...too bad i don't like the clouds this much in cedar city.

tonight is girls night out...and we are going to see annie out at tuachan. it should be super duper fun!

i channeled my martha intuition, bought some fabric, found four buttons, and whipped out my sewing machine to create two pillows for my second year of college which is coming in two weeks! craziness is about to happen and those who will be around me (my roommates) don't know what is coming.

a while ago i twisted my hair up and bobby pinned it, left it over night and when i took it out it looked like this.....

so last night i tried it again and i did a little different technique and i also just left it in for an hour...and it still was a super fro, so i laughed, pete and michelle laughed. i could also tell that the people at maverick-adventures first stop also were laughing deep deep inside their souls:)

ps. i saw twilight for the first time last night, and i thought it was pretty good. i will probably go and see the next movie....no, i will not read the books.

how to...

a great way to calm down--ride a bike -- for a very long time.

believe it, or not.

i went on a date. can you believe it. i never get asked on dates so it was a priveledge. i had a fun time, but i will probably not go on another date with him. i am just not attracted to him in that way. just in a friends way. we went on a double date with a kid named travis bentley who is peters age and grew up down the street from me, it was kind of awkward. but he also had a date who just had a baby three months ago, she was nice. anywho we went to texas road house for dinner, and let me just say not my favorite. too noisy and crazy, and did you know they throw their peanut shells on the ground..what is up with that? weirdi's. following dinner we went to dixie bowl where we played one game of bowling and i totally beat everyone, which doesn't ever happen in bowling cause i am terrible but i got a 121 which is over double what i usually get, yes i was extremely excited. we finished up the double date by having ice cream at frost top where travis bought us all mustaches from the 25 cent machine. it was so funny i could hardly stop laughing.
travis and his date went left cause the baby was falling asleep so we ended up going over to sunset bowl to then watch for a long time the game that some of our friends were playing, yes it sounds boring, but i knew a lot of the people there so i was able to socialize and laugh a lot. and guess what? afterwards we headed over to iceburg for ice cream...wow so original. i didn't have any cause i was mucho stuffed. but more socializing happened and i ended up borrowing a cd from shawn elsmore, the new john allred covers cd, so that was the ultimate plus! i have been wanting that cd since it came out some time ago.

that was my date, the first in a long time. lets hope i can turn on the dalton charm and get myself another one:)

red. run.

went on a nice little run tonight...i felt alright. this has been my third run since getting back into running. i ran like 2 miles or so..and came back look like this.
i can not believe how red my face was upon returning from the run, which i ran without stopping. man, running makes me red.

although i was feeling a little ill i decided that i needed to go and do something, rather than sit around the house like i have been doing for the past few days, yuck. as you can tell my face proves the illness.
my friends and i, plus some newly made friends, went to roast mallows behind bloomington, vague description of where we were at, but its too hard to explain exactly how we got there, cause i was a little out of it. oh p.s. this is us trying to dance awkward. it was pretty funny, you should try it sometime.
we had a fire, which i helped by cutting up the palates we "borrowed" from wal-mart. roasting mallows, chatting, laughing, and most importantly...dancing. this is what my friends and i do, we dance crazily, all the time, anywhere there is music we dance. its kind of fun.

thursday night, just on a whim...my roommates and i decided to go to LAS VEGAS!! haha yeah i know it was crazy. we really didn't do anything, just walked the strip..looked at all the people...and got second hand smoke....hmmm, nice.

before going to las vegas we met up with some friends and went to dinner at Chili's. it was a lot of fun..i feel bad for the people around us, cause as usual when we all get together we are pretty darn LOUD! haha, but what can ya do when you only have a certain amount of limited time left with each other.
